Highly Hands-On

Family Programs at the High Museum of Art

About March 19, 2010

We’re so happy to be reaching out to our fabulous families online. We hope you’ll find our posts informative and fun. Be sure to check in and comment often – we want to know what you’re interested in seeing on this site! Have questions about our regular programming? Check out the calendar on High.org or shoot us an e-mail.

Virginia Shearer, Associate Director of Education, is the brains behind all of the activities that your family enjoys at the High. She has a myriad of programming expertise from several museums. And on top of all her museum experience, she has two kids of her own, so she’s able to practice all her great ideas on her own family before bringing them to you!

Erin Dougherty, Coordinator of Public Programs, comes to us from snowy Minneapolis. She’s shed her winter coat and started to get the hang of saying “y’all” as much as possible. After interning and working at MASS MoCA, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, and The Walker Art Center, she’s looking forward to spending time with High Museum families while we explore and create art.
