Happy almost Thanksgiving! After the turkey eating dust settles, you may need to get out of the house for a little fresh air. Head to the High for our Thanksgiving weekend celebration. We have everything you’re looking for and more! Here are the top ten reasons you should hit up the High for some family fun this weekend:

#10 – We’re open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the day after Thanksgiving. You’ll have plenty of time to fit us into your day (even if you want to hit the mall   before dawn).

#9 – Family activities start at noon and stay rocking until 5 p.m. on Friday.

#8 – We have extended hours on Saturday (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and Sunday we’ll be open our regular hours of Noon to 5 p.m.

#8 – Our version of Central Park will be set-up in the Atrium all day on the day after Thanksgiving. Challenge someone to a game of chess or grab a Modern Art game for some fun.

#7 – The Museum Shop will be open all weekend for you to purchase holiday gifts for everyone on your list.

#6 – You can explore our permanent collection and discover Picasso to Warhol.

#5 – Your kids can star in their own Warhol Screen Test on Friday. Maybe we have a future Warhol Superstar on our hands?

#4- Family tours will be happening throughout the weekend. Click here for times.

#3 – On Friday, the band Already Taken is performing live. They’re all under 16 years old and write their own songs. Pretty AWESOME!

#2 – Practice your active painting skills on Friday. We’re making a giant collaborative Jackson Pollock canvas.

#1 – If you can’t hang out with us on the day after Thanksgiving, you can come back on Saturday or Sunday. We have an art making workshop open for families 1 – 4 p.m. both days.

So, skip the extra piece of pie and come hang out with us at the High for the Day After Thanksgiving!

Happy turkey eating,

Erin
